The Green Lantern Costume

Well maybe I have time to complain about another costume.
This is Ryan Reynolds in the costume for the upcoming "Green Lantern" film.

Why is it so hard just to use the comic book version?
It's one of the best designed costumes ever, but they have to change it.

Okay, I do like the way they did the mask.
But what's up with the green veins?

The Michelle Obama Comic Sold Out?

The Female Force comic book biography of first lady Michelle Obama sold out Wednesday?
It's going into a second printing?
Yeah, I may sound a bit confused because I am.
Okay I saw the novelty in Spiderman and The President.
I got that.
But a comic book about the First Lady?
To be fair though, the Female Force books about Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sarah Palin sold out too.
And now the company that makes the books, Bluewater Productions, is going to put out books about Caroline Kennedy, Princess Diana and Condoleezza Rice.

I'm sorry, but these books look like the old hand out books they used to give away free at community events.
Who is buying these books?
Why are they buying these books?

Okay I can see the role model thing and that's cool.
But they sold out.
Are parents and grandparents buying the books for kids?

I'm starting to buy the Illuminati mind control thing.

Superman is Real?

If you follow my blogs you know how much I like weird.
Well ladies and gentlemen, this is probably the pinnacle...

The Myth of Superman
By Neil Gaiman and Adam Rogers

About a decade ago, Alvin Schwartz, who wrote Superman comic strips in the 1940s and ‘50s, published one of the great Odd Books of our time. In An Unlikely Prophet, reissued in paperback this spring, Schwartz writes that Superman is real. He is a tulpa, a Tibetan word for a being brought to life through thought and willpower. Schwartz also says a Hawaiian kahuna told him that Superman once traveled 2,000 years back in time to keep the island chain from being destroyed by volcanic activity. Maybe it happened, maybe it didn’t, but it does sound like a job for Superman – all in a day’s work for a guy who can squeeze coal into diamonds. Schwartz then tells of his own encounter with Superman in a New York taxi, when he learned firsthand that Superman’s cape is, in fact, more than mere fabric.

You know I mentioned before about people dressing up as superheroes.
Well what if they don't have to?
Remember this?

Atom Eve - Image Comics

Atom Eve - Image Comics

Atom Eve (Samantha Eve Wilkins) is a comic book superheroine, who appears in the comic book Invincible (by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker), published by Image Comics.
Her first appearance was in Invincible #1 (January 2003).

A member of the Teen Team and a former classmate of Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve was created by the government to be a weapon.
Okay, I know that plot line has been kinda run into the ground in comics, but her twist is that she was saved from the project by switching her with a still born infant and having her raised by parents that didn't know their little bundle of joy had powers.

That and Atom Eve has a really cool super power. She is able to manipulate matter at the sub-atomic level by sheer will power.
Talk about mastering " The Secret".
She can manipulate organic matter (not animal life, that keeps her from just turning you into granite if you mess with her) and inorganic matter. She can alter a Hostess Twinkie so that it has the nutritional value of raw broccoli. And she can recreate her clothes into anything she wishes. Eve can also create force fields and fly.
